Job Description

Job Summary

Plays a key role in the efficient and effective operation of the department by providing valuable support to the management and Dietitian staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing and processing the financial and productivity statistics for the Food Service department.

• Processes department Accounts Payable information for timely and accurate payment.

• Assists Director with monthly analysis and annual budget process.

• Maintains department Vending Services including purchasing, operation, and sales.

• Assists with Catering Events and services.

• Receives and inspects deliveries of food & supplies verifying quality, quantity, and price. Accepts, rejects, or notes discrepancy of products when not in compliance with standards.

• Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc. Prepare bank deposits.

• Matches and enters all data regarding vendor purchase orders invoice & checks.

• Drafts financial, statistical, and/or other reports.

• Maintains PC database for food management system. Providing data entry and coordinating software updates.

• Assists with presentation and implementation of staff and group in-service or meeting.

• Assists with weekly inventory of food & supplies and may order food and supplies for the department.

• Attends all mandatory meetings and programs.

• Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.

• Complies with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, regulations, and Standards of Conduct relating to the position and agrees to report any suspected violations of law or Standards of Conduct.

• Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations.

• Maintains a safe work environment using safe work practices, utilizing standard precautions and complying with hazardous waste procedures at all times as described in St. Anthony's Safety Manual.

• Maintains the confidentiality of patient, resident, employee and organizational information.

Supervisor Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with minimum six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.   Ability to speak effectively before customers, patients, families and employees of the organization.

Position Requirements, Licenses, Certifications and Registrations

Must have good typing and computer skills.

Must have good communication skills, including reading, writing and understanding English.

Must be able to perform simple math functions.

Must be proficient in MS Office products.
