 Senior Services Bus Unveiling

About a year ago, Chaplain Angelo Luis along with a small working group spearheaded the initiative to raise funds to purchase a multi-passenger, wheelchair-accessible bus to be used for the St. Anthony Nursing Home, Garden View, Orchard View residents and tenants. After a well-run marathon, car wash, duck race, bake sale, several memorial gifts, a gift from the Carroll County Foundation and other special gifts, the goal was reached this week.

On Monday, July 1, senior residents and tenants as well as staff and donors gathered to celebrate the arrival of the new bus. There was a short program and tours of the bus. Father Merlin Schrad blessed the bus.

logoWe Are One St. Anthony - At Your Best

Think about a time when you were at the top of your game - a time when you were firing on all cylinders and accomplishing everything you set out to do. This is called being At Your Best.

It's a high-performance state that allows you to access your innate wisdom and get better results with less stress and effort. Here are a few tips to be At Your Best:

  1. Noticed when you are at your best by becoming more aware of your thinking and moods
  2. When you're not at your best, don't be too hard on yourself or others
  3. Take a moment every day to think about why you're grateful

Becoming aware of when we're not at our best can help us stop going against the current and get back into the natural ebb and flow of life.

At Your Best
