The St. Anthony Foundation awarded $23,450 through 30 scholarships to students in west central Iowa during a special ceremony at St. Anthony Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 16. These scholarships are awarded annually to individuals pursuing professional health care careers in the six-county region, including Audubon, Calhoun, Carroll, Crawford, Greene and Sac counties. Since the beginning of the scholarship program in 2003, over 200 scholarships valued at more than $132,000 have been given to students so that they may achieve their goal of a continued education in healthcare.

“For St. Anthony, it is an honor to award our scholarships to deserving students in west central Iowa each year. We do it with the goal of encouraging their continued education in health care,” said Trish Roberts, St. Anthony Development Director. “We are grateful to the families and donors who make these scholarships a reality, often through endowed gifts, to the St. Anthony Foundation. This allows us to invest in future generations of health care professionals who we hope will live in and serve our local communities.”
