St. Anthony welcomes Christie Burnell, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

St. Anthony Regional Hospital is pleased to announce Christie Burnell, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner has joined the Mental Health Services department.

“The goal of my practice is to build positive patient relationships with skillful treatment, and I’m excited to do that here at St. Anthony,” said Christie Burnell, PMHNP-BC.

Burnell received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She then went on to earn an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Walden University.

As psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Burnell sees and evaluates patients to diagnosis and manage mental health diseases. Burnell utilizes medication management strategies and positive therapeutic techniques to develop positive behavior patterns and life skills.
