Quiet Time at St. Anthony is from 1:00pm – 3:00pm and again from 9:00pm – 6:00am.
Quiet times in hospitals are crucial for patient recovery and overall well-being, as well as for improving the work environment for staff.
Here’s why they are so important:
The St. Anthony Auxiliary sponsors the Coffee and Gift Shop, which is located in the second floor atrium. See more information.
Sandwiches, snacks, beverages, candy, and gum are available as well as fresh flowers, cards, magazines, and gift items. Phone cards, postage stamps, and personal care items are also available for purchase by patients and guests.
Phone orders may be placed by dialing extension 5259 (712-794-5259). Both MasterCard and Visa are accepted. Auxiliary volunteers make daily delivery of flower and gift orders taken by phone.
Two Adoration Chapels are open to visitors, hospital employees and patients 24 hours a day. The chapels are located on second floor of the hospital, in the atrium, and on the terrace level of the Nursing Home.
Chapel visitors may use this peaceful, quiet space to pray, meditate, or reflect. Spiritual guidance and support may be arranged through the hospital chaplain. Local clergy may be contacted through the hospital chaplain, social workers, or by calling the hospital operator.
St. Anthony Regional Hospital is tobacco-free campus-wide. Our tobacco-free policy means that use of tobacco products is prohibited on our campus, including in buildings or vehicles, and on sidewalks and parking lots.
Smoking cessation information and services are offered to patients at the time of admission. Your physician can order nicotine replacement therapies to help you during your hospital stay. To help family members or visitors who use tobacco products, nicotine replacement items are available for purchase in the Coffee and Gift Shop, in the second floor atrium.
St. Anthony believes that maintaining a tobacco-free environment will greatly benefit our patients, our employees, and our community by reducing the ill effects of tobacco products in our surroundings. Thank you for your support in helping us maintain a tobacco-free environment.
