Learn the Skills That Can Help Save a Life

Heart disease is the number one cause of death worldwide. Each year, over 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the United States. Become a part of the chain of survival and help save lives!

BLS - Instructor-Led Training

Become certified in basic life support for all prehospital and healthcare environments. This instructor-led course focuses on high-quality CPR and team dynamics. Your CPR skills will be tested using high-tech mannequins and real-time mechanical feedback.

Basic EKG

This is an instructor-led class in which participants learn and practice how to interpret basic EKG waveforms and apply treatment protocols through high-fidelity simulation. The instructor will review normal anatomy and physiology of the heart and discuss the fundamentals of electrocardiography waveforms. Participants should come away with a working knowledge of normal and abnormal dysrhythmias and blocks.

Basic EKG Interpretation and ACLS Prep Course

This instructor-led course will help participants prepare for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. The intended audience includes physicians, nurses, and EMS who infrequently work with cardiac rhythms or lifesaving medications or, are in need of basic ECG review and ACLS pharmacology. Students will learn how to interpret basic dysrhythmias and enhance their understanding of cardiac electrophysiology and the medications most commonly used for adult resuscitation. An overview of the American Heart Association ACLS algorithms are provided.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Earn new, or renew certification, in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). This instructor-led course prepares healthcare providers to perform and communicate as a member of a team. Using high-fidelity simulated scenarios, students learn to recognize and intervene when patients present in cardiopulmonary arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Earn new, or renew certification, in pediatric advanced life support (PALS). This instructor-led course prepares participants to perform and communicate as a member of a team. Students learn to evaluate, stabilize and resuscitate the critically ill infant or child. As a member of a team, participate in high fidelity simulation scenarios to learn how to manage dysrhythymia or cardiac arrest, respiratory distress or failure, and compensated or hypotensive shock. Continuing Education offered.

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Using a blended learning approach of online learning, hands-on training, and high-fidelity simulation practice, TNCC is an intensive 2-day ENA certification course. The low student – instructor ratio assures that participants will enhance their core knowledge, critical thinking and psychomotor skills in the assessment and management of injured patients, using the trauma nursing process (TNP). Learn to identify common mechanisms of injury and how different types of trauma and shock affect the body. Through simulation, demonstrate how to evaluate, stabilize and resuscitate the trauma patient. Continuing Education offered – 17.65 contact hours over 2 days. Registration includes tuition, loaner textbook, ENA certification card and CEUs.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program™

St. Anthony Regional Hospital is an approved testing site for the American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider Certification. Participants complete an online learning course (Part 1) followed by a hands-on skills evaluation (Part 2) using high-fidelity simulation. The hands-on session must be completed within 90 days of finishing the online portion. Upon successful completion of all requirements and the course evaluation, participants receive their NRP provider certification. For registration and scheduling information, contact St. Anthony Education Services.
