St. Anthony Eye Clinic in Carroll, Iowa, has joined the Wolfe Eye Clinic family, becoming their twelfth main office location in the state. St. Anthony Eye Clinic opened in May 1996, when Lou Ann Kiessling, MD, joined St. Anthony Regional Hospital, becoming the first ophthalmologist on staff. Twenty-five years later, St. Anthony Eye Clinic is the preeminent leader in medical and surgical eye care services in the community of Carroll and surrounding areas.

Lou Ann Kiessling, MD received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, followed by her Doctor of Medicine degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. After completing a pre-residency fellowship in Ocular Pathology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, she completed ophthalmology residency at Wayne State in Detroit, MI. Dr. Kiessling is supported in clinic by her long-time technician, Michelle Clinton, office specialist and technician, Brenda Pottebaum, and front office professional, Christy Springston.

As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Kiessling performs cataract surgery and treats ocular diseases and disorders. Dr. Kiessling and her staff will continue to provide the expert, personal care their patients expect, with the added benefit and resources that Wolfe Eye Clinic can provide.
