St. Anthony and seven other western Iowa hospitals donated medical supplies to Ukraine.

St. Anthony Regional Hospital recently donated medical supplies to Ukraine as the country has a massive shortage of supplies. St. Anthony specifically donated IV solution and irrigations, needles, syringes, dressings, splints, braces, sutures, urology trays, spinal trays, blood pressure cuffs, pharmaceuticals, and minor instruments no longer utilized at the hospital. St. Anthony employees drove the supplies to Audubon County Hospital which were later transported to Red Oak, Iowa. Altogether St. Anthony and seven other western Iowa hospitals were able to send 12 pallets of supplies from Red Oak to Ukraine through a nonprofit organization Nova Ukraine.

“St. Anthony Regional Hospital donated two vehicles full of medical supplies that were shipped to Ukraine,” said Ed Smith, St. Anthony President and CEO. “Our employees rallied to gather the materials quickly as the Ukrainian citizens are in desperate need of these supplies. We are humbled to help support them.”

St. Anthony Regional Hospital, Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics, Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Cass Health, Myrtue Medical Center, Shenandoah Medical Center, and Spencer Hospital participated in donating the medical supplies.
