St. Anthony School of Nursing Holds Final Reunion

 

The historic, final reunion of the St. Anthony School of Nursing.

On June 26, 2021, thirty-five nurses met for the final reunion of the St. Anthony School of Nursing. The school, originally called The Antonian Training School, was founded on October 1, 1905 by the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. The name was eventually changed to St. Anthony School of Nursing. The three-year nursing program was known for educating and training excellent nurses.

In its 55 years of existence, the school graduated a total of 657 nurses. Graduates looked forward to an annual reunion in June of each year, where the nurses could renew friendships and share stories of their years in school.

Ed Smith, President and CEO, and Trish Roberts, Development Director, attended this year’s reunion on behalf of St. Anthony Regional Hospital to share their appreciation for the great legacy created by the nurses who graduated from the school of nursing.
