St. Anthony Foundation Donor Bill of Rights

Philanthropy is rooted in voluntary action for the common good. It reflects a tradition of generosity and compassion that enhances the quality of life in our communities. At the St. Anthony Foundation, we are committed to honoring that tradition by building trust, demonstrating transparency, and stewarding every gift with integrity.

To ensure our donors and prospective donors can give with confidence, we affirm that every donor to the St. Anthony Foundation has the right:

  1. To be informed of the Foundation’s mission, how donated resources will be used, and our capacity to use those resources effectively for their intended purposes.
  2. To know the identity of those serving on the Foundation’s governing board and to expect prudent and responsible stewardship.
  3. To have access to the Foundation’s most recent financial information.
  4. To be assured that gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
  5. To receive appropriate acknowledgment and recognition for their generosity.
  6. To have their information handled with respect and confidentiality, to the extent provided by law.
  7. To expect that all interactions with Foundation representatives are professional, respectful, and aligned with our mission and values.
  8. To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees, or contracted representatives of the Foundation.
  9. To request that their name be removed from mailing or communication lists the Foundation may share.
  10. To ask questions when making a gift and to receive prompt, truthful, and transparent answers.
