Compensation and Pay

It is the objective of St. Anthony Regional Hospital to administer a salary program for its employees which will attract, retain, motivate, and reward. Our compensation program has established salary levels that are competitive with external pay practices locally and regionally among healthcare providers and other employers who are competing for available qualified candidates. Salary adjustments are made annually based on local and state market surveys.

Holiday Pay

Full-time employees are compensated for six holidays. Part-time and relief employees who work a holiday receive two times their regular rate of pay. Compensation packages also include shift differentials, weekend differentials, call pay, call back pay, etc.

Health and Insurance Benefits

Health Insurance

St. Anthony Regional Hospital provides health insurance coverage to full- and part-time employees. Coverage is effective the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. St. Anthony pays approximately 60 percent of the premium cost for both single and family coverage.

Dental Insurance

Dental coverage is provided to full- and part-time employees the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. Single and family coverage available.

Life Insurance

St. Anthony Regional Hospital provides a term life insurance policy for all full- and part-time employees at no cost to the employee. Full-time employees are covered at two times their basic annual earnings; part-time employees receive $10,000 in coverage.

Short-Term Disability

St. Anthony provides short term disability for full-time employees who have completed nine months of service, at no cost to the employee. Short-term disability benefits begin on the sixth day of illness or injury and are paid at 66 2/3% percent for up to 13 weeks.

Flexible Spending Account

A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) provides a tax-advantaged way to pay for dependent care needs or medical expenses not covered, or only partially covered by health, dental, or vision insurance. With an FSA, employees can reduce their taxable income and thus pay less federal, state, and social security tax. Employees may enroll in a healthcare, dependent care, and/or non-employer sponsored premium account. St. Anthony pays all fees associated with the plans.

Transparence of Coverage Rule

St. Anthony Regional Hospital’s Third Party Administrator is UMR, a Division of United Healthcare. United Healthcare, UMR, and Health SCOPE Benefits creates and publishes machine-readable files on behalf of Anthony Regional Hospital. These files provide pricing data for covered items and services based on in-network negotiated payment rates and historical out-of-network allowed amounts. Information in these files is updated monthly.

Retirement and Financial Planning

A 403(b) plan is offered to assist employees in meeting their future personal financial goals. To participate, employees may make a pre-tax contribution of five percent or more (subject to IRS limits) of their gross wages, to which St. Anthony Regional Hospital will make a matching contribution of three percent, following one year of employment. An employee wishing to contribute three or four percent of their gross wages will receive a two percent match following one year of employment. Employees may also make additional voluntary contributions to the plan, beginning on date of hire. More than 20 investment options are available.

Time Off and Work-Life Balance

Flexibility

Employees have the opportunity to work on a full-time, part-time, relief, or PRN (intermittent) basis. We offer a variety of shifts as well as flexibility in accommodating personal needs related to family and educational commitments.

Vacation and Personal Time

Full- and part-time employees accrue vacation and personal time benefits based on hours worked. Vacation accruals increase with years of service. Vacation hours not used can be carried forward from year to year. Unused personal time benefits are paid out to employees yearly.

Childcare

St. Anthony Regional Hospital understands the importance of dependable childcare for working families.
